Outdoor Play

Our large outdoor environment with natural play spaces and elements encourages children to explore, take risks, and develop their physical abilities in a safe and supervised setting.

Community Involvement

We regularly participate in community events and encourage families to be involved in our preschool community. This helps children develop a strong sense of belonging and connection to their local community.

Cultural Programs

Through partnerships with local cultural organisations, we provide children with opportunities to learn about and celebrate cultural diversity, including Indigenous cultures and languages.

Curriculum Highlights

The curriculum at Peter Pan Preschool is designed to support the development of essential learning dispositions that prepare children for future success in school and life. Our play-based curriculum is carefully crafted to embed key concepts of literacy and numeracy within everyday activities, making learning both fun and meaningful. We believe that children learn best when they are actively engaged and motivated by their own interests. Our educators are skilled at observing and extending children's play to incorporate intentional teaching moments that foster creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

In addition to our regular curriculum, we offer special programs that enrich the children's learning experience. These include regular visits from Winanga-Li, a Gamilaraay Language Hub that introduces children to Indigenous language and culture. These programs not only broaden the children's horizons but also instill a sense of respect and appreciation for cultural diversity.

Our educational philosophy at Peter Pan Preschool is guided by the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.

We believe that every child has the right to develop and learn at their own pace within a play-rich environment. Play is not just a way for children to pass the time; it is a fundamental aspect of their learning and development. We create an environment where children feel safe, secure, and supported, allowing them to explore, experiment, and engage in meaningful learning experiences. Our educators are dedicated to fostering a sense of belonging and community among the children, ensuring that each child feels valued and respected.
